Project planning documentation relating to collection management and heritage projects.

Planning heritage and collection projects with clarity and care.

Nanette worked with the Henley & Grange RSL to consolidate an extensive, largely undocumented collection of memorabilia held across multiple sites. The project involved assessing the scope and condition of the collection, improving storage practices, and recommending a cataloguing system to support future donations, acquisitions, and collection tracking.

Key stages included:

  • Auditing the collection to identify, document and assess the condition of objects, paperwork and other materials.
  • Preparing suitable storage solutions to better protect memorabilia and support long-term preservation.
  • Recommending and implementing cataloguing software to improve collection management and future tracking.
  • Creating policy documentation to guide ongoing procedures, acquisitions and collection care.

Careful project planning helps achieve practical, well-structured outcomes. Through heritage consultation, Nanette can assist organisations to clarify their needs, develop ideas and establish clear project steps that support long-term collection management and heritage outcomes.
